Only nine months after the foundation of Bündnis für Gemeinnützigkeit (the umbrella organisation for NGOs in Austria) the organisation can report great success: Not only is the Austrian government in the process of implementing new NGO-related laws with regards to tax deductibility of donations and financial subsidies to offset rising energy costs but Bündnis is also steadily gaining new members: In early September the organisation welcomed eight new members of various sizes and different fields of action. The new members range from small associations that for example want to push mobility in rural areas sustainably to large nationwide organisations that play a key role in ensuring rescue and care services across the country.
With this in mind, Bündnis für Gemeinnützigkeit and its members are confident that they will continuously strengthen its voice for civil society and in political decision-making in the years to come.
