Collective Leadership Institute: Invitation Transformation Literacy Conference 2025 – Empowering Metrics and Enlivening Narratives for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals

26 March 2025 | Members' Corner

International collaboration is facing challenging times. Metrics that foster resource extraction instead of regeneration and narratives that highlight dominance and glorify past achievements instead of partnerships and future possibilities are still commonplace in many areas. As a result of the obvious gap between what is needed for people and planet, and what is done, polarization is spreading all over the place.

Therefore, and with the urgency of only five years to go to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, the Collective Leadership Institute ‘s (CLI) 4th annual conference is looking at empowering metrics and enlivening for SDG achievement.

The Collective Leadership Institute would like to invite you to participate in the:

Transformation Literacy Conference

2025 Theme: Empowering Metrics and Enlivening Narratives for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals

7 April 2025

Online sessions between 11:30am – 4:30pm CET

What can you expect?

CLI’s Transformation Literacy Conference is identifying ways how sustainable development can be measured through metrics that ensure transparency, offer feedback systems and responsive criteria, and how sustainable development goals can be embedded into narratives that are empowering, depolarize societies, and serve humanity and the planet. Therefore, distinguished speakers present their latest findings from research and practice and share them with you, whereas you can ask them your questions and can connect with hundreds of like-minded people in this online conference.

The event starts on Monday, 7 April with an informal welcome session at 11:30am CET to get to know each other better and make connections.

The Collective Leadership Institute will continue at 12:00 pm CET on Empowering Metrics for Sustainable Development Goal Achievement where the guiding question for our distinguished speakers Alicia Jimenez (Director of Programmes at Earth Charter Secretariat) and Elisabeth Kuehn (Executive Director Collective Leadership Institute) will be: how can metrics and feedback systems support clarity and enhance progress towards sustainable development?

The other input session will at 2:00 pm CET on Enlivening Narratives for Sustainable Development Goal Achievement and here they will ask the speakers Huma Beg (CEO at Serendip Productions) and Nicole Betancourt (Emmy award-winning producer and director): how can they create stories of possibilities that create resonance for all relevant stakeholders for implementing sustainable development?

The CLI will close the day with a short backstage session 4:00-4:30 pm CET where you can connect with the organisers and speakers.

The CLI hopes this year’s conference programme sounds interesting for you. Feel free to go to the website where they will update information on speakers when they are confirmed.

Participation is free of charge. As places for the conference are limited, please make sure to reserve your place on time and feel free to invite friends, colleagues, and partners:
